Si vous utilisez le très bon logiciel (IDE) Geany, vous aurez sans doute remarqué que par défaut, celui-ci ajoute une ligne blanche à la fin de votre fichier lorsque vous l’enregistrer… ce qui peut vite devenir insupportable quand on n’a rien demandé… et que ça nous emmerde bien !

If you are using the very nice software (IDE) Geany, you may have noticed that, by default, it adds a « line shift », or « new blank line » at the end of the current file when you save it… a feature that can become unbearable when it hasn’t been asked and… it finally hassle us !

En réalité, cet ajout de ligne est une « fonctionnalité » de Geany, et il suffit de la désactiver en se rendant dans les options de Geany :

1°) Aller dans le menu « Edition » puis faites « Préférences ».
2°) Sélectionnez l’onglet « Fichiers » à gauche
3°) Décochez la case « Nouvelle ligne en fin de fichier »

In deed, this blank line automatic add is a « feature » of Geany, and it can be disabled simply going in Geany’s settings :1°) go to « Edit » menu and select « Preferences »
2°) Click on the « Files » tab on the left
3°) uncheck « Ensure a new line at file end »

C’est fait ! Même pas besoin de redémarrer Geany !

Done ! You don’t even have to restart Geany ! Enjoy !
